By creating an account or using Praystead, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Praystead is
Praystead is a personal prayer journal and discipleship companion: a private prayer journal, a weekly prayer plan, Scripture suggestions, an answered-prayer gallery, and optional prayer groups/community sharing. The app is free to use; an optional donation link is available to support its development.
Your account
You must provide a valid email address to create an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Praystead is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it. You may delete your account and data at any time from within the app or by contacting us.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you write in Praystead — your prayers, testimonies, and any content you share. Private prayers are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read them. If you choose to share a prayer with a community or group, you're responsible for what you share and who you share it with — anything shared that way is visible to the people in that group.
Don't use Praystead to post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or infringes on someone else's rights. We may remove shared content or suspend accounts that violate this.
AI-assisted features
Praystead's optional AI guidance is a study companion, not a substitute for Scripture, pastoral counsel, or professional advice — it points you toward relevant Bible passages and prayer angles, but it does not speak for God and its suggestions should always be weighed against Scripture and your own discernment. AI features are opt-in and only activate with your explicit consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
Praystead is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Praystead and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Because private content is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot recover it if you lose your passphrase and recovery code — please keep them safe.
Changes to the app or these terms
We may update the app and these terms as Praystead evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
